Woodstock Fatal Motorcycle Collision Near Route 47 And Route 14

There was a fatal Woodstock motorcycle collision Saturday (July 25, 2020.) This fatal Woodstock motorcycle collision occurred after the driver of a pickup truck allegedly failed to yield at a stop intersection.

First responders, including the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District and Woodstock Police Department, began to go the accident scene near Route 14 & Route 47 at 11:50 a.m.

Officers found a white Ford F-150, driven by 59-year-old Glen R. Lillund of Fox River Grove, and a Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by a 56-year-old man from Algonquin, the Woodstock Police Department said.


Video surveillance was obtained from the Exxon gas station at 2025 S. Eastwood Dr. Based upon the on-scene investigation, Lillund was issued traffic citations for failure to yield at a stop intersection and expired driver’s license, less than six months.

The motorcyclist was flown to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, where he was subsequently pronounced dead.

The accident investigation of this fatal Woodstock motorcycle collision continues. The McHenry County Major Crash Assistance Team (MCAT) is assisting in the accident investigation.
