Woman Injured After Fall From Motorcycle In Macoupin County

There was a motorcycle accident Sunday (June 11, 2017) involving a woman passenger who fell of a moving motorcycle.

The accident happened near Medora.  The Macoupin County Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding the accident at approximately 2:03 p.m.

The accident happened on Route 111 just south of FS Road.

The motorcycle was being ridden by Roger Brown, 57, of Decatur, Illinois.  The passenger was Connie Hendrick, 59, of Waverly.

An excerpt regarding the accident, from The Telegraph article of June 12, 2017 titled “Woman airlifted to hospital after falling off motorcycle near Medora“:

Brown said he was traveling north on Illinois Route 111 when he began to feel the motorcycle lean to the right. Brown said he looked back a saw Hendrick fall off the back of the motorcycle. Hendrick told the deputy she had just eaten and was starting to feel overheated. Hendrick believes she passed out, leading her to fall off the back.

At the time of the accident Hendrick was not wearing a motorcycle helmet.  She was flown to St. Louis University Hospital for treatment of her accident injuries.
