Woman Dies After Motorcycle Accident In Springfield, Illinois

A woman has died from her injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident Saturday evening (June 8) in Springfield, Illinois.

The woman, Sue Fickas, 48, of Springfield, died at St. John’s Hospital on Wednesday afternoon.

Fickas was the passenger on the motorcycle that was involved in a traffic accident near the intersection of Stevenson Drive and Woodward Street.

The driver of the motorcycle, Thomas Rhodes, sustained minor injuries.

Details regarding the cause of the accident are limited; however, it is being reported that the driver of the car that collided with the motorcycle involved did not see the motorcycle ridden by Rhodes.
