There was a fatal Illinois motorcycle accident Wednesday afternoon (July 23, 2014) in Waukegan.
According to Waukegan Police, emergency responders went to the motorcycle accident scene at approximately 3:45 p.m. Wednesday. The accident happened as the motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Sunset Avenue. As the motorcyclist got to the 3500 block of Sunset Avenue, his motorcycle was struck by a car that was pulling out of a driveway.
The motorcyclist was identified as Omar O. Chami, 23, of Chicago. He was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The driver was identified as Yolanda Delarosa, 32, of Waukegan. According to Waukegan Police, she was cited for failure to yield and having no valid driver’s license.
