Two People Hurt In Johnson County, Illinois Motorcycle Accident

On Saturday, May 26, two people were injured in a motorcycle accident in Johnson County, Illinois.

An excerpt from a May 27 The Southern article titled “Two hurt in cycle crash” :

Jackie D. Wharry, 59, and his passenger Rebecca L. Wharry, 57, of Zeigler, suffered injuries in the crash that occurred at 10:35 a.m. near Tunnel Hill, according to Illinois State Police.

Jackie Wharry was driving a 2003 Honda Shadow motorcycle eastbound on Tunnel Hill Road, east of Bowman Road in the “S” curves, when he lost control of the motorcycle and struck an embankment.

Wharry also had a passenger, 57-year-old Rebecca L. Wharry.

Jackie Wharry was transported via AirEvac to Deaconess Hospital. Rebecca Wharry was transported to Heartland Regional Medical Center.
