There was a fatal motorcycle accident Friday night (June 21) in Woodlawn, Illinois.
The accident happened as a driver of a pickup truck was driving eastbound on Illinois 15 at approximately 9:18 p.m. As the pickup was turning left, apparently to drive into a gas station, the pickup truck entered into the path of a motorcycle and collided with it.
Two people on the motorcycle were pronounced dead at the scene.
Those people have been identified as Billy Philpot, 53, of Vandalia and Debra Graham, 49, of Mount Vernon.
The pickup truck driver, said by Illinois State Police to be a 40-year-old man from Woodlawn, was hospitalized.
The accident remains under investigation and charges are said to be pending.
