Motorcycle accidents caused by loss of control continue to be a leading cause of Illinois motorcycle accidents. As seen in Illinois motorcycle accidents discussed on this site, these accidents can result in a wide range of injuries. These injuries can vary significantly in their severity, with many being life-threatening in nature.

There are many reasons as to why these crashes can occur. The various reasons are further discussed on the “Motorcycle Loss Of Control Accidents” page. As seen on that page, while some loss of control accidents are caused by rider error, some are outside the control of the motorcyclist. For those that are the fault of the rider, one of the most common reasons for a sudden loss of control is if a curve in the road is taken at too high of a speed.
