Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck By Motorcycle In Romeoville, Illinois

There was a motorcycle accident Friday night (September 19, 2014) in Romeoville, in which a pedestrian was killed after being struck by a motorcycle.

This Illinois motorcycle accident happened at approximately 8:47 p.m., as a motorcyclist was riding north on Route 53.  At Route 53 just north of Chambers Drive the motorcycle struck a pedestrian that was apparently crossing the street.

According to the Will County Coroner’s Office, the pedestrian, identified as Mark D. Stukel, 56, of Channahon, was taken to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital, where he was declared dead at 9:28 p.m.

The motorcyclist was not injured during the collision.

The incident continues to be under investigation by Romeoville police.
