Collisions involving motorcyclists and turning vehicles remain one of the most common types of motorcycle accidents. These crashes usually involve a vehicle making a left-hand turn immediately in front of an oncoming motorcycle. If a collision occurs, the force of the collision often results in the motorcyclist (and if applicable, passenger) being seriously hurt. Often, the injuries are life-threatening in nature and results in a fatality.

While there can be many reasons as to why this type of collision occurs, motorists involved in these types of collisions often say that they “didn’t see the motorcycle.”
