The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital for medical treatment, and was later declared dead.

Motorcycle accidents that occur after another vehicle fails to yield are common. This “failure to yield” has been a leading cause for fatal Illinois motorcycle accidents over the years. Many fatal Illinois motorcycle accidents that have been summarized on this site have involved a rider who was killed due to the negligence of a motorist.
The Elman Joseph Law Group recently settled a lawsuit in which a motorist was allegedly negligent and hit a motorcyclist. The collision caused the motorcycle rider to suffer various injuries including those to the to the neck, back, and leg. That accident and lawsuit settlement is discussed in the “Settlement Of $209,000 For Motorcycle Accident Lawsuit” post.
