There was a motorcycle crash in Southern Illinois on Saturday (September 22, 2018) night after which the motorcyclist was charged with a DUI.

A 54-year-old man was charged with a DUI after crashing his motorcycle in Southern Illinois Saturday night, according to police.

David R. Hesse’s motorcycle struck a median as he was traveling southbound on U.S. 51, according to the preliminary investigation by Illinois State Police. It was about 9:50 p.m.

During the crash Hesse was ejected from the motorcycle.  He was taken to the hospital for treatment of his accident injuries.
