A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash that occurred Thursday night in Aurora, Illinois.
Details are somewhat limited.
It is being reported that Carlos Amaya, 23, of Aurora, Illinois, was riding a 1996 Honda CBR 600 when he crashed into a car at the intersection of High Street and Edison Avenue, according to police. The accident occurred at 9:59 p.m.
Amaya was flown to Good Samaritan Hospital. He was reported to be in critical condition, with multiple injuries including multiple broken bones, severe rectum damage, and possible bleeding on the brain. According to police, Amaya was charged with drunken driving. Officers found multiple empty beer cans in his backpack.
The other driver not injured and was not charged.
