Motorcyclist Injured When He Is Rear-Ended By SUV In Jackson County, Illinois

On Sunday afternoon, a motorcyclist on Highway 127 in Jackson County, Illinois was injured when his motorcycle was rear-ended by a SUV.

The motorcyclist, David Jennings, 44, of Pinckneyville, sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the course of the accident.

An excerpt from the April 15 KFVS story on the accident, titled “Pinckneyville man injured in motorcycle crash” :

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, David Jennings, 44, of Pinckneyville was southbound on Highway 127 on his Harley Davidson motorcycle and slowed down to make a left hand turn onto Lightfoot Road.

Krista Davis, 36, of Du Quoin was behind Jennings and her SUV failed to yield and hit the rear of the motorcycle, according to Sgt. Carson Bunton.

Davis was issued a citation for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident.  In the course of the accident she receive minor injuries.
