Motorcyclist Injured In Southern Illinois Accident

There was an Illinois motorcycle accident Monday (August 4, 2014) in Murphysboro, Illinois that resulted in serious injuries to a motorcyclist.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, this motorcycle accident happened in Lake Murphysboro State Park, as the motorcyclist first accelerated and then lost control of the motorcycle.

The motorcycle left the roadway and hit trees, at which point the motorcyclist was ejected.

The motorcyclist was identified as Christian Huppert, 20, of Murphysboro.

He was taken via ambulance to a local hospital, but then airlifted to a St. Louis medical center.
