Motorcyclist Injured In Hit & Run Accident In Pingree Grove

There was a motorcycle collision on Thursday night (June 12, 2014) in Pingree Grove, Illinois.

This collision was a hit & run accident in which the driver of the car that hit the motorcyclist was charged with aggravated DUI.

According to the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, the motorcycle collision happened at approximately 7:15 p.m. when the female motorist struck the motorcylist as she  was driving on Route 20, east of Route 47.

The driver was identified as Caitlin M. Hill, 18, of Bartlett.  Following the collision, she drove from the accident scene, crashed her car into a ditch, and then started running on foot.  Police apprehended her at 7:51 p.m.

Hill, of the 1500 block of Derby Lane in Bartlett, is charged with one felony count each of aggravated DUI and aggravated battery to a police officer, according to police. No information was released about the latter charge or if an officer was injured.

The motorcyclist was hospitalized, but no other information is immediately available concerning the motorcyclist’s condition.
