Motorcyclist Injured During Memorial Day Accident On Interstate 74 In Illinois

On Memorial Day (May 28) there was an accident near mile post 189 on Interstate 74 in Illinois.

Matthew Paul Sharp, 35, broke his leg during the course of the accident.

An excerpt from the May 28 story titled “Man injured after Interstate 74 motorcycle accident” :

Matthew Paul Sharp was headed westbound when his 2001 Honda motorcycle ran off the roadway, according to a news release from the Illinois State Police. He lost control of the motorcycle, which came to a rest on a bridge embankment about 50 feet north of the roadway.

Sharp was taken to Carle Foundation Hospital. He was charged with operating an uninsured vehicle, improper lane usage and for not having a valid registration.
