Motorcyclist Injured As He Hits Urinal On Edens Expressway In Northern Chicago Suburbs

A motorcyclist was injured on Edens Expressway Monday as his motorcycle hit a urinal that had fallen off of a truck.

The accident happened on the the Edens Expressway just past the Lake Cook Road southbound exit at 6:35 a.m.

The motorcyclist hit the urinal as he was switching from the left to the middle lane of traffic.  The impact caused him to fall off his motorcycle, thereby suffering a broken left ankle.  He was taken to Evanston Hospital.

The driver of the flatbed truck transporting the urinal was cited with failure to secure the load and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 26.
