There was a motorcycle accident Monday (July 11, 2016) in Champaign after which a motorcyclist died from his accident injuries.
The accident involved a car and motorcycle and happened at the intersection of West White Street and State Street, as depicted below:

Champaign County Coroner Duane Northrup says Saad was riding his motorcycle south on State Street through the interaction of West White Street and State Street in Champaign when a car entered the intersection traveling west on White Street. Saad’s motorcycle hit the read end of the car.
Saad died from his accident injuries at Carle Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, July 12, 2016.
According to Northrup, Saad died from traumatic head injuries that were suffered during the accident. During the accident he was not wearing a motorcycle helmet.
The traffic accident investigation is being performed by the Champaign County Coroner’s Office and the Champaign Police Department.
