Motorcyclist Dies After Maywood Hit & Run Accident

There was a fatal motorcycle accident in Maywood, Illinois, on Sunday night, July 7.  The accident involved an alleged hit & run.

An excerpt from the CBS Chicago article of July 10, 2013 titled “Wisconsin Woman Charged In Fatal Maywood Hit-And-Run” :

A vehicle struck a motorcycle driven by 24-year-old Dashawn J. Davis about 10:05 p.m. Sunday near South 5th Avenue and Harvard in Maywood, according to a Maywood police release. The driver fled the scene.

Davis was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood and pronounced dead early Monday morning.

Tiffany L. Jenkins, 33, of Merrill, WI, is the alleged hit & run driver.  According to police, she has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident which caused death; driving on a revoked license; and failure to yield.
