Motorcyclist Dies After Accident On Chicago’s South Side

A fatal motorcycle accident happened today on Chicago’s South Side.  The accident involved a motorcycle getting hit by a car, and then the motorcycle hit a tree.

The motorcyclist killed has been identified as Charles McCoy.

An excerpt from the Chicago Tribune story of May 14, titled “Man dies after motorcycle hit by vehicle on South Side” :

McCoy died after the motorcycle he was driving hit a tree near 66 th Street and Evans Avenue this afternoon.

Officers responded to a report of a vehicle hitting a motorcyle about 12:56 p.m. in the 700 bock of East Marquette Road, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Daniel O’Brien. The driver of the motorcycle was later declared dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center, he said.
