A recent motorcycle accident in Palos Hills is discussed in the Palos Patch article of July 24, 2016.   The article, titled “Worth Man Charged With DUI Following Motorcycle Crash,” discusses a recent motorcycle accident in which both the motorcyclist and passenger were seriously injured, and the motorcyclist (James Anglim, 26, of Worth) was charged with DUI following the accident.

Two excerpts from the article:

A Worth man was charged with aggravated DUI after he and his passenger were seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on July 17.

Palos Hills police observed Anglim speeding eastbound down 103rd Street when officers heard the motorcycle’s engine revving. A moment later officers heard a crash.

Anglim and his passenger were both found lying unconscious near 103rd and Harlem Avenue. The motorcycle was on its side.

Anglim and his passenger suffered various serious injuries.  Anglim’s injuries included broken ribs, facial injuries, and a fractured eye socket. The unnamed passenger’s injuries included a broken vertebrae in his neck, a broken nose, and “road rash.”

As seen in the article, the prosecutor said that a blood draw at the hospital revealed that Anglim’s blood-alcohol content (BAC) was .309.
