Motorcycles Collide During Unincorporated Island Lake Motorcycle Accident

There was a motorcycle accident Sunday night (June 12, 2016) in unincorporated Island Lake.  According to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, it is believed that this accident involved motorcycle riding after drinking.

The motorcyclist that rear-ended the motorcycle in front of him was identified as John F. Hicks, 46, of Waukegan.  His passenger was identified as a 38-year-old female from Chicago.

They were both taken to Advocate Condell Hospital for treatment of their accident injuries.  Hicks was listed in critical condition.

The motorcyclist who was rear-ended was identified as a 45-year-old male from Antioch.  He was riding a 2011 Harley-Davidson.  He was not injured during the collision.
