Streamwood Accident Involving Motorcycle That Struck A Tree

There was a fatal motorcycle crash Thursday (May 24, 2018) afternoon in Streamwood involving a motorcycle that struck a tree.

The crash happened in the 100 block of Schaumburg Road (near Bartlett Road,) and involved a motorcycle that was traveling eastbound.  For a currently undisclosed reason, the motorcycle left the roadway and struck a tree.  First responders were called to the accident scene at approximately 12:59 p.m.

The motorcyclist, identified as Vincent Korpalski, 20, of Streamwood, was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital for treatment of his accident injuries.  According to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, he died at approximately 5:35 p.m.

This fatal Illinois motorcycle accident remains under investigation.
