According to Chicago Police, the accident happened at approximately 10:25 p.m., and involved a motorcyclist hitting two people who were walking across the street with a green light.

A motorcyclist driving between cars on Lake Shore Drive ran a red light and plowed into a group of pedestrians in a crosswalk near Buckingham Fountain, killing a woman and seriously injuring a man, police said.
The woman, currently identified as Katrin Kutscheidt, 25, of Chicago, was pronounced dead after being taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
The man was taken to Stroger Hospital and was in serious condition.
The motorcyclist, identified as Charles Lyons, 20, of Chicago, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He was in custody and was in serious condition.
