There was a collision Monday morning (June 12, 2017) in Chicago’s Roseland neighborhood. The collision involved a motorcyclist and school bus. The motorcyclist was seriously injured and seven other people were also injured and hospitalized.
According to the Chicago Fire Department, the accident happened at approximately 6:44 a.m. in the 10900 block of South Michigan Avenue.
Chicago Police say the rider of the motorcycle, a 37-year-old man, was taken in serious condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
Among those who were also injured included a 15-year-old girl; a 15-year-old boy; two 17-year-old boys; a 19-year-old boy; and a 50-year-old woman. All of these people were taken to hospitals for medical treatment.
At this time it is undetermined as to which party was at fault for the accident.
The traffic accident investigation is being conducted by the Chicago Police Major Accidents Investigation Unit.
