There was a motorcycle accident Tuesday night (February 21, 2017) on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago.
According to Chicago Police, the crash happened shortly before 11:00 p.m., and involved a motorcycle “running a red light” and then colliding with a taxi in the 700 block of North Michigan Avenue.
A woman passenger on the motorcycle was injured and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital for treatment of her accident injuries.
The motorcyclist – identified only as a 37-year-old man – ran from the accident scene but was apprehended by police after a short time.

The man was charged with fleeing and eluding, a red light violation, driving on a suspended license and driving without insurance, police said.
