The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office and Harvard Fire Protection District responded around 10:07 p.m. Thursday to Lawrence Road and Perkins Road in Chemung Township outside of Harvard.
A preliminary investigation shows that a 2006 Harley-Davidson FLHXI motorcycle was traveling southbound on Lawrence Road approaching Perkins Road.
The Harley-Davidson left the roadway and went into the ditch, according to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.
The motorcyclist, identified as a 39-year-old man from Poplar Grove, was injured and flown to Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford for treatment of his accident injuries.
