There was a motorcycle crash Saturday evening (June 11, 2016) in unincorporated Harvard in which a motorcyclist sustained critical injuries.
According to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at 6:51 p.m. in the 15000 block of McGuire Road.
At that time, according to a preliminary investigation, a motorcyclist riding a 2000 Harley Davidson lost control for currently unknown reasons as he was heading eastbound. The motorcycle rolled over and the motorcyclist was ejected during the crash.
The motorcyclist, identified as a 53-year-old man from Harvard, was first taken to Mercy Harvard Hospital for treatment of his accident injuries, and then flown to Rockford Memorial Hospital.

An investigation is ongoing by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Crash Investigations Unit. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Members of the Harvard Fire Protection District and the McHenry Conservation Police Department also assisted at the scene.
