Motorcycle Crash In New Lenox

On Friday night (February 17, 2017) there was a motorcycle crash in New Lenox after which the motorcyclist was charged with driving under the influence.

New Lenox Police were called to the accident scene at 11:35 p.m., in the 2000 block of Northwind Drive.  Witnesses had seen a motorcycle strike a garage, after which the motorcyclist drove away.

The motorcyclist was later stopped by police.

Joseph A. Allan was stopped by police shortly after the incident was reported at 11:35 p.m. and after witnesses at the scene said the driver of the motorcycle was injured and possible impaired.

Allan also allegedly had unprescribed medication with him. He was treated at Silver Cross Hospital and then booked into the Will County jail on charges of drug possession, driving under the influence, hit-and-run and violating the state’s concealed carry law.
