There was a motorcycle accident Friday (May 6, 2016) in McHenry. The accident initially injured two people, a motorcyclist and passenger.
According to McHenry Township Fire Protection District Lt. Mike Kempster, the department responded at approximately 3:30 p.m. to the accident scene, which was at Route 31, just south of Shoppers Drive, in McHenry.
McHenry Police say the accident happened as a Ford Taurus was traveling northbound on Route 31, and it collided with a southbound 2007 Harley-Davidson Road Glide motorcycle.
The cause of the accident was initially undetermined or undisclosed. Later, it was determined that the Taurus crossed the center line and thereby struck the motorcycle.

One was flown to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville for treatment of their accident injuries, and the second person was also taken to a hospital.
