Motorcycle Collides With SUV Making Illegal U-Turn In Chicago

There was a motorcycle accident early Tuesday (October 18, 2016) in Chicago’s Brighton Park neighborhood (on the Southwest Side.)

According to Chicago Police, the accident occurred at approximately 12:15 a.m., as a motorcycle was heading west in the 4600 block of South Archer.  At that time, a SUV made an illegal U-turn, and the motorcycle struck the SUV.

The motorcyclist was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital for treatment of his accident injuries.  He was in critical condition.

The 20-year-old man driving the SUV was cited for making an illegal U-turn and not having insurance, police said.
