According to the Illinois State Police (ISP) and Clark County Coroner’s Office, the accident involved a motorcycle (a 2000 Harley-Davidson) traveling southbound on N. Cline Orchard Road striking a deer. The accident occurred about 3.5 miles northeast of Martinsville. As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist and passenger were both ejected from the motorcycle.
Both the motorcyclist, identified as David Noble, 58, of Martinsville, and passenger, identified as Amanda Welling, 45, of Marshall, were declared dead at the accident scene.
This fatal Illinois motorcycle accident remains under investigation by the Clark County Coroners Office and ISP.
