There was a collision involving a car and motorcycle on Saturday afternoon (May 6, 2017) in unincorporated Harvard.
The accident involved a 22-year-old motorcyclist from Harvard, riding a 1995 Kawasaki motorcycle, colliding with a Nissan Murano on Route 14. First responders were called to the accident scene at approximately 3:20 p.m.

A preliminary investigation found the motorcycle was heading south on Route 14 when it crossed into the northbound lane and sideswiped a 2011 Nissan Murano driving north, according to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the McHenry County’s Sheriff’s Office, the motorcyclist was not wearing a motorcycle helmet at the time of the crash.
The motorcyclist was flown to the hospital in critical condition.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, charges are pending regarding the crash.
The traffic accident investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Major Traffic Crash Investigations Unit.
