Motorcycle-Bus Collision In Casey, Illinois

There was a motorcycle accident Sunday evening (October 23, 2016) in Casey.

According to information provided by the Illinois State Police, the accident happened on the Interstate 70 interchange, just before 6:45 p.m.

At that time, a bus that was southbound on Illinois Route 49 was turning left onto the interstate’s northbound ramp.  A motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Route 49 and couldn’t stop in time to avoid a collision.

The motorcyclist, identified as Steven R. Huckaba, 65, of Martinsville, was taken to Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana for treatment of his accident injuries.

The bus driver, identified as Jacquelyn C. Colet, 69, of Charleston, was cited for failure to yield.
