This morning, a motorcycle accident on the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90) near Hampshire caused all lanes to be closed to allow for a rescue helicopter evacuation of the injured motorcyclist.
According to the Illinois State Police, the accident happened at approximately 10 a.m., when a braking motorcyclist lost control of his bike and hit the side barrier near the Marengo-Hampshire Toll Plaza.
The motorcyclist had been forced to brake hard due to an abruptly slowing car ahead of it.
