Motorcycle Accident In Lakewood, Illinois Leads To Death Of Motorcyclist

There was a motorcycle accident in Lakewood, Illinois on Tuesday night (June 18) that led to the death of the motorcyclist.

Emergency responders were dispatched at 7:31 p.m. Tuesday night to the accident, which happened after a sedan collided with a motorcycle at the intersection of Haligus Roads and Bonnie Drive.  The sedan had been driving southbound on Haligus Road, while the motorcyclist was traveling northbound.  The sedan then attempted to make a left turn onto Bonnie Drive, at which point the motorcycle and sedan collided.

The motorcyclist has been identified as Scott Alcock, 30, of Crystal Lake.  He was airlifted to Advocate Condell Medical Center, where he died early Thursday morning.

The driver of the sedan refused treatment at the accident scene.
