There was a fatal motorcycle accident in Lakewood, Illinois on Tuesday night, September 4, that led to the death of a man and his 16-year-old daughter.
The motorcyclist, Christopher J. Ludovice, 54, of Elgin, and his daughter were riding south on Route 47 at the time of the accident. At 8:53 p.m., a Jeep turned in front of them at the Route 176 intersection, according to Lakewood Police.
Both Ludovice and his daughter were ejected from the motorcycle during the collision. They were taken to Centegra Hospital in Woodstock, where Ludovice died shortly thereafter; his daughter died Wednesday afternoon.
Neither Ludovice or his daughter were wearing helmets at the time of the accident.
The man driving the Jeep has been identified as William A. Cizek, 49, of Harvard.
Cizek was cited for failure to yield when making a turn.
