Motorcycle Accident In Chicago’s Bucktown Neighborhood

There was an early-morning Chicago motorcycle accident in the Bucktown neighborhood today, June 21, 2014.

According to Chicago Police, this motorcycle accident happened at approximately 1:10 a.m., as the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Western Avenue.  At the intersection of Western and Milwaukee Avenue, a dark-colored pickup truck made a left-hand turn into the path of the motorcycle, thereby striking it.

The pickup truck fled the accident scene.

The motorcyclist, identified as a 28-year-old male, was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital.
