A man from Bushnell, Illinois was injured Monday afternoon during a motorcycle accident in McDonough County.
An excerpt from the McDonoughVoice.com story of October 4 titled “Bushnell man injured in motorcycle crash” :
John J. Serven, Jr., 47, was riding his motorcycle northbound on Illinois Route 41 about 12:45 p.m. Monday, approaching the junction with Illinois Route 9.
According to accident reports, Serven lost control of his motorcycle while negotiating a curve in the roadway. The motorcycle traveled off the right side of the road before overturning and ejecting Serven.
Reports did not indicate if he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Serven was transported to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria by medical helicopter.
