Police responded to a call of a motorcycle accident on Touhy Avenue between Lawndale and St. Louis avenues after 7 p.m. Police did not say if the adult struck by the motorcycle was a man or a woman, but did say the child was either 3 or 4. Both the adult and the child, as well as the motorcyclist, were taken to area hospitals, police said.
The child was in critical condition, police said.
