I-64 Motorcycle Accident Critically Injures Couple From Worden, Illinois

A serious motorcycle accident injured an Illinois couple on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 on Interstate 64 in Illinois.

The couple, James L. Callahan, 37, and Lisa L. Callahan, 48, both of Worden, Illinois, are in critical condition as of Wednesday after the back tire on their Harley blew out, thereby causing James Callahan to lose control of the motorcycle.  The couple were then thrown from the bike.

The accident happened at approximately 4:40 p.m. on Interstate 64, near Illinois Route 161.

The couple were airlifted by helicopter to St. Loius University Hospital.
