A Holiday Hills motorcycle collision occurred Wednesday (June 3, 2020) evening. This Holiday Hills motorcycle collision led to the death of one motorcyclist and injuries to two others. The accident scene was in the in the 2300 block of South River Road.

On June 3, 2020 at 7:26 p.m., the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois Department of Natural Resource Police, Island Lake Police Department, Nunda Rural Township Fire/Rescue, and McHenry Township Fire/Rescue District responded to a three vehicle crash involving a 2017 Acura TLX, a 2003 Harley-Davidson FLSTF Fat Boy Motorcycle, and a 2005 Harley-Davidson Trike that had crashed on South River Road, north of Sunset Drive.
On scene investigation indicated the Acura had been traveling northbound on South River Road. For unknown reasons the Acura, driven by a 20-year-old McHenry woman, went into the southbound lane of traffic where it struck both motorcycles causing the riders to be ejected from the bikes.
The rider of the 2005 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, a 56-year-old McHenry woman, was taken to Advocate Condell Hospital in Libertyville. She was pronounced dead there. The Lake County Coroner’s Office later identified her as Victoria Miller, 56, McHenry.
A passenger on this motorcycle, a 9-year-old from Louisiana, was seriously injured and taken to Northwestern Hospital in McHenry.
Another motorcyclist, the rider of the 2003 Harley-Davidson, was critically injured. He was identified as a 65-year-old McHenry man. He was flown by helicopter to Advocate Condell Hospital in Libertyville.
At the time of this Holiday Hills motorcycle collision, neither motorcyclist was wearing a helmet but the 9-year-old passenger was.
The accident investigation is being conducted by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Major Crash Investigation Unit, Holiday Hill Police Department, and the Lake County Coroner’s Office.
