Motorcycle loss of control remains a leading cause of serious and fatal Illinois motorcycle accidents. While there are many reasons as to why these crashes tend to cause serious injuries, two primary reasons are that the crashes tend to happen at speed, and often the motorcycle leaves the roadway. When the motorcycle leaves the roadway, the rider can be ejected or the bike may hit a fixed object such as a tree. In either instance, the likelihood of the rider suffering serious, if not life-threatening injuries, substantially increases.

Loss of motorcycle control can occur for many reasons, as discussed on the “Motorcycle Loss Of Control Accidents” page. For those loss of control accidents that are caused by the negligence of another party, the injured motorcyclist may be able to file a lawsuit to get accident compensation.
