There was a fatal motorcycle Thursday (July 30, 2015) near Wauconda, Illinois.
According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, the motorcycle accident was reported at approximately 5:30 a.m. The motorcyclist was apparently riding eastbound along Route 176 at Ivanhoe Road when he crashed. It is believed, based upon a preliminary investigation, that the motorcyclist may have failed to properly negotiate a curve, and he struck several small trees and a utility pole.
Police, at this time, are unsure as to when the motorcycle crash happened, but it is believed it may have happened sometime after midnight.
The motorcyclist was identified as Edward B. Bucel, 36, of Round Lake. He was declared dead at the accident scene.
