There was a fatal Chicago motorcycle accident late Saturday night (July 1, 2017) in Chicago’s East Garfield Park neighborhood.

About 11:25 p.m., a 2001 Mercury traveling north on North Kedzie Avenue made a left turn onto West Madison Street and was struck on the passenger side by a motorcycle, according to Chicago Police.
As a result of the crash, a passenger on the motorcycle, a 28-year-old man, was pronounced dead.
The motorcyclist, a 47-year-old woman, was injured and taken to Stroger Hospital for treatment of her accident injuries. She was in serious condition.
A passenger in the Mercury suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the Mercury was cited for an improper left turn, no valid driver’s license and no insurance, police said.
