There was a fatal motorcycle accident late Saturday night (February 18, 2017) in Peotone.
According to information from the Illinois State Police (ISP) as well as the Will County Coroner’s Office, the crash happened just before midnight in the 300 block of Harlem Avenue. At that time, for a currently undetermined reason, the motorcyclist lost control of the motorcycle and the motorcycle left the roadway.
The rider of the motorcycle, Michael J. Colella, 59, of Manteno, as well as the passenger, identified as Rita A. Linderen, 48, of Monee, were both pronounced dead at the accident scene early Sunday morning.
