There was a fatal motorcycle crash Wednesday night (June 17, 2015) in Ingleside, Illinois.
According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the crash at 8:55 p.m.
Preliminary information indicates that a motorcyclist with a passenger were heading northbound on Wilson Road, when the motorcyclist attempted to pass, while in a no-passing zone, a northbound Toyota. As they were attempting to pass, the car turned left into Wooster Lake Road, and there was a collision between the motorcycle and Toyota.
The motorcyclist was identified as Nikolas D. Marcopoulos, 23, of Ingleside. He was declared dead at the accident scene.
During the collision, the motorcycle passenger was ejected from the motorcycle. This passenger was identified as Allison N. Morrison, 20, of McHenry. She was taken to Advocate Condell Hospital for treatment of her accident injuries.
The driver of the Toyota, identfied as Matthew V. Paret, 20, of Round Lake, was taken to a hospital for treatment of his accident injuries.
