Fatal Motorcycle Crash In Algonquin

There was a fatal motorcycle accident Sunday evening (July 9, 2017) in Algonquin.

The crash happened at approximately 5:07 p.m. as a northbound motorcycle on the entrance ramp to Route 31 from Algonquin Road struck a raised median, and then went into the southbound lanes.  At that point the motorcycle struck a light pole on the west side of the road.

The motorcyclist was identified by the McHenry County Coroner as  David A. Erickson, 59, of Crystal Lake.  There was a passenger, identified as Tiffany G. Eisner, 43, of Lake in the Hills.  Both were pronounced dead at the accident scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the Algonquin Police Department and the Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team.
