There was a fatal Illinois motorcycle accident Saturday night (July 18, 2015) in Franklin County.

According to authorities, first responders received a call shortly after 9:00 p.m. regarding a collision between a tractor hauling a hay baler, and a motorcycle with a male rider and female passenger.
The accident happened just to the south of the Route 37 and Country Club Road intersection.

According to Franklin County Coroner Marty Leffler, Officers found the male driver of the motorcycle with multiple injuries.
He was airlifted to an Evansville, Indiana hospital.
Leffler says the female passenger of the motorcycle was unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene from injuries sustained in the accident.
The tractor driver was not injured during the collision.
The Illinois State Police (ISP) are handling the accident investigation.
