According to Des Plaines Police, the motorcycle accident happened at approximately 1:30 p.m., in the 1600 block of East Golf Road.
The collision happened as a motorcyclist was heading north on Oakton Community College Drive, and for a reason currently unknown lost control of the bike and entered the southbound lanes, thereby colliding with a southbound car.
The motorcyclist was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital for treatment of injuries, but was pronounced dead at 2:38 p.m.
The motorcyclist was identified as Arkadiusz Krzemien, 23, of Niles.
The driver of the car refused medical treatment.
